FAQ
Your Questions, Answered
How does BELOTERO® work?
BELOTERO® is injected by your aesthetic practitioner into different layers of your skin, depending on your treatment plan. Its unique biomimetic behavior, supported by its Cohesive Polydensified Matrix (CPM®) technology is designed to mimic your skin’s natural characteristics, allowing the product to harmoniously integrate and adapt to your skin for natural-looking results that move with you (1).
The BELOTERO®collection offers a range of treatments to address your individual needs, from skin quality enhancement and wrinkle reduction to restoring volume loss (3-7).
What are the benefits of BELOTERO®’s Biomimetic Design?
When properly injected, BELOTERO® mimics the characteristics and behavior of the skin, allowing for:
- Natural-looking results (8-9)
- Harmonious integration with the skin (1)
- Tailored performance to address diverse patient needs, from skin quality through hydration to volumization (3-7)
- Long-lasting results*
*Results last from 3 months to 18 months in most patients depending on the BELOTERO® product used and the treated area.
What is the process for a BELOTERO® Treatment?
Before each treatment, your aesthetic practitioner will have a consultation with you in order to learn more about your desires and expectations. This is followed by developing and explaining a suggested, personalized treatment plan, suggested by your aesthetic practitioner and in line with your needs. Once you’ve made your decision, the treatment can begin. Your aesthetic practitioner will inject the suitable BELOTERO® products directly into the skin of the specific treatment area.
Are the effect seen immediately?
Yes, you can see a result shortly after the treatment that will further settle over some days.
How long will the effects last after a treatment with BELOTERO®?
While the results of a treatment with BELOTERO® are long-lasting, with duration up to 18 months with some indications, they’re not permanent, as the body naturally breaks down the hyaluronic acid gel over time. Exact duration depends on the treated area and the BELOTERO® product used. To maintain results the treatment will need to be repeated in line with your aesthetic practitioner recommendation.
Is the treatment with BELOTERO® painful?
Treatment with BELOTERO® products is generally associated with minimal strain and pain. Except for BELOTERO® Revive, all products within the range include lidocaine for a more comfortable treatment. In addition, local anesthesia can be applied.
Will people be able to see that I’ve had something done?
BELOTERO® delivers natural-looking results (8-9) with high patient satisfaction (9-14-15). You’ll continue to look like yourself, enhanced with a fresh glow or harmony depending on your treatment choice, personal preferences, desired results, and the expertise of your healthcare professional.
Will I look overfilled or puffy?
Thanks to its unique Biomimetic CPM® technology, when injected properly, BELOTERO® seamlessly integrates and adapts to your skin and tissue layers, supporting your natural expressions and so that people see you, not your filler (1).
Is BELOTERO® safe?
The BELOTERO® Collection has a well established safety profile (8-9-14). Injection may lead to minimal bleeding and temporary swelling. Speak to your treating aesthetic practitioner about any pre-existing medical conditions or sensitivities you may have. They can then discuss potential reactions and side effects with you.
